As always, when choosing your weapons and armour you must remember to choose those that will enhance your fighting style. If you tend to use a lot of mana, weapons and armour that will enhance that would be your best bet. If you use mostly a sword & shield then you would need attributes that would help you strike faster, harder, and deflect quicker. The possibilities are endless but the most important fact to remember is that all weapons & armour have their basic requirements regarding strength, damage, and durability. When choosing a weapon or armour you should strive for those weapons that give you the maximum in damage and durability without having to sacrifice speed of attack. For a rogue that means staying away from the much larger weapons like the two-handed swords, axes, and larger clubs. A rogue should always stick to a bow, one-handed swords, and the lighter clubs which allow you to use a shield. As a much weaker character in strength, even if you can lift it that doesn't mean you can use it effectively. When choosing a bow, the rogue should always strive for the long war bow - it having the greatest amount of damage and durability. For armour, full plate mail is always the best since it tends to have the greatest armour class and will allow you to take those extra few hits you might not have been able to handle before. For the helm, the Royal Crown is really the only way to go but there are many great helms which will give you the protection that you need without sacrificing too much. As always there are basic requirements for all weapons and armour. Since the rogue can achieve all of those basic attributes (with the help of rings and amulets) you are never limited in what you can wear or use. You are only limited by how you use them in combination with each other. When it comes to rings and amulets, the best ones are those that accentuate what you are currently using. Where one ring might be perfect for you, someone else might consider it garbage only because it doesn't have attributes that would enhance what they have. The most important thing to remember about rings and amulets is that they are the major suppliers of your resistances to magic, fire, and lightning. Thus you should always strive to keep those that can top your resists to one hundred percent. To view the basic attributes just click on the corresponding icon to view the statistics. |
